Strive Café

Strive Cafe is a not-for-profit café in Bexhill-on-Sea. Their mission is to provide paid employment for individuals with learning disabilities. They also work to promote disability awareness, a friendly environment, community inclusion and good food.

The grant awarded by the Foundation allowed the group to take on additional supervisory staffing as well as a new café assistant with learning disabilities for six months. The café assistant has autism and had been out of work for several years prior. He regained employment and experience working in the café, enabling him to move on to further employment.
