Wellbeing at Work: Bronze Award

We’re delighted to announce that we’ve earned the East Sussex Wellbeing at Work Bronze Award. This achievement reflects our commitment to improving the wellbeing of our team and creating a healthier, happier workplace.

As part of this programme, we’ve introduced a variety of initiatives to support staff at the Foundation. Our monthly wellbeing walks are a great way to stay active, connect with one another, and enjoy some time in the beautiful Sussex countryside. We’ve also added plants and outdoor chairs to the office to create a more welcoming and calming environment for everyone.

We’ve made it a priority to share resources from the brilliant charities and community groups we work with. From mental health support to self-referral physiotherapy and debt advice, we’ve signposted these services so our team knows where to turn when they need help. Also, some team members have completed mental health awareness training to ensure we’re better equipped to support one another.

We’ve been learning more about the importance of Musculoskeletal (MSK) health, especially in an office setting. Encouraging proper posture, providing the right ergonomic equipment, and promoting regular movement breaks have become a key focus for us.

We’re proud that wellbeing is becoming a fundamental part of our culture. Achieving the Bronze Award is just the beginning, and we’re already looking forward to working toward the Silver Award as we continue to enhance staff wellbeing.

"Our first priority is looking after our team and building a supportive, positive culture. So I’m delighted that our hard work has been recognised with this award, and we’re enthusiastic about what’s next.”
