Brian has spent over 40 years in the hotel industry working initially for international luxury hotel brands after studying economics at Liverpool University. In 1992, he created a specialist management company that operated the brand of Small Luxury Hotels of the World for 22 years developing it into a global presence with over 500 hotels and resorts. Resident in Sussex for 35 years, Brian has been involved with various local organisations including helping the Princes Trust with their young entrepreneurs. An enthusiastic yachtsman, he sailed across the Atlantic in 2015 raising funds for the charity Hospitality in Action.
