Since 2006, Sussex Community Foundation has been connecting people who want to make a difference with the local charities and community groups changing lives across Sussex. Over the past 20 years, we've awarded £40 million in grants to more than 3,500 charities and community organisations, supporting projects that tackle poverty, improve health, help people reach their potential and act on climate. Whether you're a donor, professional advisor, charity or community organisation, we're here to help local giving create lasting impact.

Improving Health

At Sussex Community Foundation, our Improving Health fund has supported hundreds of local community groups dedicated to improving people's physical and mental wellbeing across Sussex. In this video, we spotlight three inspiring organisations making a real difference: Southdown Men in Sheds, Arts on Prescription and Salaam FC.

Sussex in the City 2025

In October, we brought our community together at the renowned Mercers Hall to explore how philanthropists and charities can collaborate to address some of the challenges young people face. Thank you to Sir Rod Aldridge and Flourish Mentors for such a meaningful and inspiring discussion.

Creative Heart

Creative Heart in Littlehampton helps tackle loneliness and mental health issues in their community. The CIC received a capital grant from the Rampion Community Benefit Fund for their solar pv and battery storage system.

FareShare Sussex & Surrey

Thanks to electric vehicles funded by the Rampion Community Benefit Fund at Sussex Community Foundation FareShare Sussex & Surrey was able to redistribute 41.9 tonnes of food over Christmas.
